We got a great deal on some used repeaters! so now we need to get them tuned, running and installed. We will still purchase one brand new GMRS commercial grade repeater. If you have ANY interest in repeaters, even if you don't know anything about radio, we need your help with:
- Transportation (Offroad/road, Equipment hauling, site scouting)
- Site prep (Fencing, earthwork)
- Construction (Concrete, Earth moving, Electrical, Antenna Mounting)
- Welding / metal fabrication
- Frequency allocation.
- Tuning
- Installation
- Testing
- Nets
As a club, we strive to give members a chance to learn, so don't worry if you don't know everything yet. You will be given assignments within your capability and by working on the projects, you will learn from those around you. Don't be shy.
We need a Committee Leader who has a working background with repeater systems to guide the work, and Committee Members to turn the Leader's recommendations and guidance into action. Step up and help us build this club. Every little bit helps.
