Join the fun

Every June, more than 31,000 hams throughout North America set up temporary transmitting stations in public places to demonstrate ham radio's science, skill and service to our communities and our nation. It combines public service, emergency preparedness, community outreach, and technical skills all in a single event. Field Day has been an annual event since 1933, and remains the most popular event in ham radio.
We welcome the public to come learn more about radio!

CWARC Field Day 2025 is officially happening June 28, 2025 from 9:30am to 4:00pm at Jaycee Park in Riverton Wyoming.  I would like to encourage our hams as to participate at our Jaycee Park site by bribing you with food!  We have a commitment from Ruby's Traveling Pizza to have their wood fired mobile pizza oven on site.  They will be making artisan pizza from 11:30am to 1:00pm.  CWARC will pay for the pizza(s) of anybody who has their radio set up at the field day site to support the club and demonstrate to the public.  They will sell their pizzas to attendeeds for a discounted rate of $10 each (personal size).  If you haven't tried their pies yet, you are missing out! 

If that isn’t enough, Joel Hazelett KE0DMK will make his excellent doughnuts for our enjoyment from 9:30am to 10:30am at not charge (Thanks Joel!).

We will be presenting several short classes about why radio is still relevant in the age of cell phones, which radio is right for you and basic radio theory.  These will happen as people show up and ask questions.

We will have the club tools and supplies on site to assist club members with setup, repairs and general tinkering.  We don't have everything, so I would encourage some of you to bring some tools as well.  A cordless soldering iron in particular could be useful.

Thanks to a generous donation from The LOR Foundation, there will be

• Pizza from Ruby's. 
• Hot, fresh Doughnuts.
• Intro to radio communications classes and demonstrations.
